What stays on your device
Your check-ins, assessments, patterns, notes, and the health summaries Vorela reads from Apple Health are stored in an encrypted database on your iPhone. This information is analysed on-device and is not uploaded to a server to be read. Vorela never compares you against other people.
Apple Health
With your permission, Vorela reads only the summaries it needs from Apple Health (such as sleep, heart rate, and activity). It never writes anything back to Apple Health, and Apple keeps the raw data on your phone. You can change what you share at any time in the Health app.
Backups
Backups are optional. If you turn one on, your data is end-to-end encrypted on your phone before it is ever uploaded, using a key that stays in your device’s Keychain. We store only the encrypted blob and cannot read its contents.
Account information
To sync a backup between your own devices you can create an account with a one-time email link — no password. In that case we store only the minimum needed to operate the account (an account identifier and, if you provide it, your email). We do not store your health data on our servers. Server infrastructure is hosted in the EU.
What we don’t do
- We don’t sell your data.
- We don’t use advertising or third-party tracking.
- We don’t read your on-device health information.
Your control
You can export a complete copy of everything Vorela has stored, or permanently delete all of it, at any time from Settings. Deleting an account removes the associated server-side record and any encrypted backup.
Not a medical service
Vorela is wellness software for understanding your own data. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services.
